REMAKE The Look 3

Here it is another addition of Remake the Look where I take an inspiration fashion photo and recreate it with thrifted pieces found at my local thrift or secondhand shop. I can always count on having that great looking outfit by using inspiration pictures to create or recreate a look I'm satisfied wearing and feeling like it's well put together.

Remake the Look 2

Hey guys here's another episode of my new series "Remake the Look" where I take inspiration photographs from Pinterest and other Social media sites and recreate my own personal take of the look. Hope you enjoy as well as get inspired to recreate your own looks as well.

Recreating A Look

Ever wonder why some people seem to just know how to dress? It appears every time you see them, their outfit for the day is on point. It seems effortless. Well, I have news for you. Even the savviest of fashionistas tend to struggle every now and then trying to find that look they will not only be satisfied with but making a statement where others will notice them. Everyone needs to be inspired. The same as when a writer gets writers block, or an artist just can't place their vision on campus or in music, whatever their muse is, they rely on people places or things for motivation and to get the creative juices flowing. Whenever I get the styling block, I refer to various social media outlets to get inspiration for my next stepping out gear. My number one favorite is Pinterest. But before I start viewing through all the model pics, I have to decide what mood is going to determine the style I wish to achieve.    ...

No More Dressing Rooms Short

I was shocked to find out. They took away the dressing rooms at Goodwill. OOTD in the bathroom.

School Dayz Week 6

Another week has come and gone. Boy do the days fly by. Here's another week of School Dayz OOTD fashions. I really enjoy doing these style videos and I hope you can get some inspo from these pieces I've thrifted and styled for you. Because it's all about us living fashionably ever after.

School Dayz Week 8

It's week 8 School Dayz Chronicles. Another fascinating week of thrifted pieces styled by yours truly Sasfras 1. I hope you guys are enjoying these videos. It just goes to show that you can look stylish on any budget. And we know it's not about just buying clothes, but it's how you put them together. And that is style. How you present yourself and doing it with confidence.
I have found the most interesting pieces of leather outer wear at my local secondhand shops. The styles are classic, the quality is great, and the prices are low. Why buy retail when you can thrift? Check out my Vintage leather outerwear collections.

Accessories Is a Necessity

Accessories Are a Necessity Creating style takes a lot more effort than just putting on clothes. Whether it's high or low-end designer brands, fast fashion or thrifted finds. Your Outfit of the day needs that extra pizzaz to get that complete well put together look. This is where accessories come into play. That chunky bangle, or that brooch attached to a blazer, coat or even that favorite scarf you love so much will turn an intentional piece into an exceptional one. Topping your outfit off with a hat can say a lot about  your style. Rings things and those necklaces that cling. Adding jewelry to complete your attire can take an understated piece of clothing and turn it into a look that came off the Paris runway. And don't worry it doesn't have to be expensive diamonds and pearls, although they can be. By visiting your favorite department or thrift store and buying a piece or two of jewelry, it will awaken you to a new surprise your wardrobe will thank you for.  Acce...

Fashion Remade and Reborn.

I put this look together as a DIY project.  The Fendi Logo was painted on. Purchased this oversized men's jersey at my local Godwill.  The sunglasses were purchased from there as well. They have a yellow tint which is trending right now. The Gucci was purchased from a consignment shop.    And the leopard print wedges were from GW outlet. Don't care what they say. Vintage and street wear is the best fashion trend ever!

It's not the Labels, Its who you are

Fashion is not what the labels say, it's who you are.                                                                                                                                  I discovered my love of Fashion early in life. As a little girl I always loved dressing up. When my parents would leave the house, I would always go in my mom’s closet and pull out her black patent leather, and suede stilettos, slip on her fancy cocktail dresses, pile on her jewelry and wrap myself in her faux furs. I wou...

During Quarantine Use What's Close To You

Hey guys Its been over 8 weeks since we've been able to hit those streets shopping and visiting our local retailers, let alone thrift stores. And since I'm a reseller of second hand items, I look to the Salvation Army's, Goodwill's and local Mom and Pop thrift stores for inventory. And with this recent pandemic I've been limited in restocking my inventory. But all has not failed! I decided like many of you to do a closet cleanse, garage cleaning and some reorganizing around the house which allowed me to come across some items that I no longer need, haven't worn or totally forgot I had that can be sold. I realized how much stuff I had stored away, for "what? I also had some (dead piles). For those of you that are not familiar with the term. Dead piles is a term used by resellers of purchased items set aside for whatever reason maybe for cleaning or repairs and never listed on their selling platforms. I also was able to catch up on some crafty DIY...

WHY THRIFT?

I get it. Th-rifting is a turn off for many people. For some the thought of wearing clothing that someone else has worn is unimaginable. The idea that second hand clothing which should be given to the homeless and less fortunate is being sold by businesses for profit. And third, they just can’t stand the smell of going into those places.    I hear this all the time. Well to settle the minds of some. " Second hand clothing is not for everyone".    Used clothing can be cleaned using basic washing detergents and cleaners. The amount of  clothing given  away or donated is more than enough to help the homeless all over the world and then some. Another fact is purchasing clothing from a thrift, vintage or any second hand store is environmentally friendly and also helps with sustainability. Tons of clothing and materials are recycled which eliminates waste that is polluting landfills.  We live in such a throwaway society. If ...
